The "Special Edition" option package is only available from the SouthEast regional distributor. Most US Toyota dealers get their cars from Toyota. In the SE and Gulf States they are distributed by middlemen distributors. They can and do install "distributor options" that have the same 3/36 warrantee as the rest of the car.

I found about it on the internet and bought mine from Rice Toyota in Greensboro, North Carolina.
