I finally got my car to a dragstrip during the first weekend in November. It was my first time as a spectator or a driver, and we (my wife & I) had a lot of fun. We raced at Norwalk Raceway Park in Norwalk, Ohio. INTENSE Racing organized the event, and there was a good turnout with quite a few fast cars.
Here is a picture of my car all set for racing. I did no real weight reduction, and ended up running 17psi in the front tires.

My first run was against Todd Allen in a Bonneville SSEi. He was quite quick, I was asleep at the tree, and didn't know what to expect traction wise, and spun the tires out to about 100'. Here is that timeslip:

My next run was worse as far as reaction time goes. But, knowing that I couldn't just go WOT right away got me a better 60' time. I did drop tire pressure from 32psi to 22psi. I also managed my best MPH of the day at 95.13mph. Here is that timeslip:

The third run was decent. Tolerable RT and 60' times, with minimal wheelspin. I ran 19psi in the front tires. No bests on this run, relatively uneventful. Although, I did get beat by a girl...though that is quite alright. She drives a modded GTX, and is a cool person, too. Here's the third timeslip:

The fourth run netted me my best RT, 60', and ET of the day. Had a piss poor MPH, though. At about the 1000' mark, I spun the front tires pretty good, even on 17psi. I thought I'd hurt the transmission, so I just backed out of it for the rest of the run. I was racing a 2006 Monte Carlo SS V8, and he was gonna beat me, but only by a half a hundredth or so. I guess I wasn't the only car to have problems at that spot, but now I have a better idea of what the car has in it. Here is that fourth timeslip:
