Please take the time to input some ratings on the new system so I have an idea of how my car really comes across to everyone. Also, please feel free to leave any comments (good or bad) in the guest book. I look forward to the feedback. Thanks.
This shot shows the total front blackout effect. The covers are handmade from smoked Lexan and mount in place of the original headlight bezels. They are quickly removable using acorn nuts to secure them. The signal light lenses are also hand cut from transparent orange Lexan. The functional hood scoop is a T/A shaker that was cut and fiberglassed to the hood over a matching hole in the hood.
I had both 2 1/4" pipes from the dual exhaust run through the stock passenger side exhaust hump on the tranny crossmember then cross over and exit out the back on the opposite sides of the car straight out, Monte SS style. This configuration gives you true dual exhaust with almost the same length of pipes due to the crossover to the opposite side.
The rear spoiler is from a mid 80's T/A and I built an LED brakelight for it from scratch using Lexan and individual LED's all hand wired (ie: very time consuming).
I considered newer "wilder" rims but in the end felt this style with spinners was a closer match to the "look" and era of the car. I put BF Goodrich Radial T/A 225 60R15's up front and 275 50R15's to fill out the rear wheelwells but not stick out.
All of the original chrome (including the bumpers) was simply etched with a sandblaster and primed and painted as usual with no ill effects.
The stance is fully adjustable due to the Monroe air shocks I had installed for pulling the boat. I originally thought I would only pump them up when trailering, but that "Jacked Up" stance sort of grew on me. I can change the height from an adjuster valve/gauge installed below the dash.
Here is a shot from August of this summer, 2006. Haven't seem to have had it out much this summer though.
