By now i had begun sourcing a few new parts for the car as i aimed to get it finnished before the summer (Probably isnt going to happen). I started by changing the air filter for a K&N induction kit. The induction kit did the job perfectly. It looked great fitted and it gave the wheezy 1.2L a little bit of a growl. Didnt really do much for performance but i didnt expect it to considering the size of the engine!
Before & After
Next up was to sort out the pea shooter exhaust that the car came with. I thought about getting a full system for the car but really with such little power there wasnt much point so i settled for a backbox. I chose a 3.5' Outward rolled lip Peco box. It wasnt hard to fit once the old standard pipe was removed.
With all the engine and exhaust cosmetics sorted I started on the outside of the car. First up here was a set of smoked black clusters from K-Tec racing, I decided to get these due to there darker apperance and because near enough everyone has the clear versions which i didnt want.
Ok with the lights fitted and exhaust and filter on i thought it best to ditch the wheeltrims. I waited 6 months for my wheels to arrive from TSW when they said it would only be a week, When they finally arrived they were damaged so i withdrew from my purchase and looked elsewhere. I took a trip to DGT International over in basildon and picked a set of 16' rims rather than the 15's which i had ordered from TSW. They were fitted and balanced next day and came with locking nuts and worked out cheaper than what i was going for before.
