Why a remote oil filter kit? If your asking this, you've never changed the oil filter on a 3.0L Ranger. It is located right above the starter. There is a funnel to keep the oil from going on the starter, but isn't very efficient. And then it is a challenge to get it out of the hole it fits in, and forget putting the new one back in.

The kit was very easy to install! The adapter screws onto the engine just like an oil filter. Mount the bracket, I chose the tranny cross member (for lack of a better place) and connect the hoses.

Worked perfect for my 3.0L Ranger. The kit comes with 9 Feet of hose, 4 adapters for different vehicles, and very easy instructions. Summit Racing Part Number PRM-10695, $55 Shipped.

Ford 3G Alternator Repair
So my engine developed an annoying noise at high RPM's. I found it to be coming from the alternator bearing. Usually Alternators get replaced for this very cause due to high labor rates. But thanks to AlternatorParts.com I was able to purchase the failed bearing very cheap. Here are photos of my alternator disassembled:
