The Interior.
This is what it looked like when I first started to change it up...
and then this happened....
So it took me awhile to figure out what dash i wanted. When I fianally figured that out it took me even longer to get one. I got my dash out of a 1957 chevy 210. It took me three weeks to make this fit and look good.
First thing I did was test fit it.
quickly found out I had to section the dash to make it fit right. I pulled the windshield to make things a little easier and got to work. So i picked a spot and sectioned out about 2 1/2". I tacked it back together and started making all the filler plates. I did alot of test fitting along the way...
After I got the dash to fit with the top, I had to figure out what to do with the ends. this is what i made..
Did both sides like that, then made the mounting brackets. after all the rough work was done, I weled it all up and ground it smooth. Fabbing this dash up was WAY more work than it sounds.
Then it was time to smooth it out.
Then I primed and painted it..
I had a lady in california make my seats, so I made the brackets.. here they are.
Then I made a gauge pod.. smoothed and painted it..
Made some door panels.
I installed new carpet, the gauge pod, bolted the seats in and put the dash in..
I wasnt completly happy with the look, so I rewrapped the steering wheel, recovered the shift know, and made a new shift boot.
there are alot of little details I left out, It took me about a month to finish the interior, but it was worth it, im breakin necks with it now....
