My first mod..may 26th 2005 Mopar BOV (I know, no performance, just a sound, but I love it. Want to upgrade to a Greddy Type s later)
June 1st 2005, $20 catch can and accessories
Catch can installed
So question is what does a catch can do? Well here ya go, basically the turbo causes oil to blow past the PCV valve, which will get into the intake manifold, and also get into the throttle body, intercooler, head and it will get into the combustion chamber causing it to burn the oil and possibly get oil on spark plugs, which I'm sure you are aware, that is not good:) So the catch can catches the oil before it does that. I personally think that it is the first modification anyone should do with a turbocharged car. Now the next question is, if this is so important, why didn't dodge just put one on? Well it's more of a safety thing, I think that if dodge added a catch can, people would forget to drain the catch can and would cause it to over flow and cause damage to the environment. That's just what I think...haha..I could be wrong.
