merkuranger's 1994 Ford Ranger westpalm, FL Customized with APC Steering Wheel, Dynomax Exhaust, APC Shift Knob, Autolite Ignition, Auto Meter Engine Electronics, Ford Racing Shocks, APC Pedals, Auto Meter Gauges, APC Seats, APC Lighting - 1 This is my merkur powerd ranger. it has been my project for the last 3-weeks and now its finally almost done. i say almost cuz nothing is ever completley done. i drove it for about a year naturally aspirated and couldnt take it anymore. so i decided to call a buddy of mine who is a merkur freak so he sold me an engine, harness, and computer. that was the basics of my swap.

merkuranger's 1994 Ford Ranger westpalm, FL Customized with APC Steering Wheel, Dynomax Exhaust, APC Shift Knob, Autolite Ignition, Auto Meter Engine Electronics, Ford Racing Shocks, APC Pedals, Auto Meter Gauges, APC Seats, APC Lighting - 8 Here is a pic of the truck i couldnt get a good one before cuz it was dark. its got a 3/4drop i-beams and flip kit. euro clear headlights/corners/tail lights. v6 mirrors, homemade grill kit. 4x4 lower bumper lights. it had bonspeed 17's but the rims slowed the truck down to much so i put stock 15's back on. hood pins no latch cuz it started giving me problems.

All in all i highly recomend this engime swap you gain a lot of HP, for little money. ive got 2k into the swap and bought the truck for 2k. so only 4k into it and it is very fast and still can tow my motorcycles and jet ski. all you need to do this swap is a 2.3 turbo engine from a xr4ti, mustangSVO, or thunderbird. a computer from that car and a wiring harness. the engine bolts in. ranger tranny even bolts on 2.3T block. the hardest part is wiring the turbo harness into the ranger harness. i dont like to quote HP but i would say my setup makes around 250-300 HP. for more questions about this swap go to therangerstation and look at forced induction engines forum those guys helped me out alot.

Near future plans are: 15" basset black rims, four point harness. ford racing posi, 373 gears?-ive got em but dont know if i will like the ratio.

Future plans are stinger: header, wastegate, oil lines. ported intakes. t3/t4 hybrid. 4-link rear end. t5 swap. cervinis cowl hood.
