Well here's my ride, a '65 Olds Cutlass/442. I've had it for about 8 years, most of that time being spent on a full frame off restoration. The car has been thoroughly gone through, keeping some of the originality while putting in a bit of personality as well. The pics are kind of old, as of now the car has new wheels (Weld Drag Lites) and is getting a new engine (bye bye original 400, welcome in a NASTY 455), as well as a Tremec TKO600 5 speed tranny.

First pic of the freshly completed car in daylight after it was painted....and that was before wetsanding. It shines a LOT more now.

From the spray booth....well, my garage. Not bad for a first paint job for a 21 year old who has never had any practice on anything else. Countless hours were spent making the 40+ year old sheetmetal straighter than it was when it was on the showroom floor. It feels good when I get body guys asking me how much I paid to have it done! A good eye will notice my dad's 1967 Olds 442 convertible with factory air conditiong, a 455, and a 4 speed. It's now apart getting a frame off restoration.

The original 400 when it was in the car. With heavily ported heads, big solid lift cam, I never got it down the track but was sure it was good for a mid 12 second run in the 1/4. But as good as it ran, oiling issues led me to starting a build on a new motor. Namely a fuel injected twin supercharged 455.

A few sneak preview pics of the project engine, which will be on the road sometime this spring. Pretty complicated, huh? It'll work....trust me!

Another sneak preview into the guts of the 455. Hard to believe an steel Olds 400 crank, chevy rods (Olivers), Pontiac pistons (Probe), Buick piston pins, Chevy roller lifters, Ford roller rockers, and a bunch of other custom parts can come together to make one tough 470 cube Big Block Oldsmobile. Gotta be tough to handle the boost.

The firewall being smoothed out. Notice the hole for the wiper motor has been hidden to the far left under the driver's fender. Also, 30+ holes were welded and smoothed as well as a 5 ft long seam across the entire panel.

Just an update on the engine, she's complete and now in the car. Wiring and minor parts are in the works now, maybe we'll see some life in the near future.

The Tremec TKO600 from Keisler Engineering. Having the overdrive should help obtain double-digit gas milage. It took a bit of cutting to get it in there, but the stock console will fit when it's all done.
