Before i Start, this is a good website for daihatsu manuals online. http://www.warfs.org/content/view/16/47/

----------still under const.---------------

Testing a 4x4 Drivetrain:

1. Part-Time --- Lift rear axle, drive vehicle forward.
2. Full-Time/Open Center Diff/ Open Rear Diff --- Lift vehicle on one side, attempt to drive forward. Both lifted wheels should rotate in the same direction.
3. Full-Time/LSD Center Diff/....Rear Diff---- same as for Part-Time

Shift it into 4Hi... kung mahirap iliko, gumagana nga ang 4wd
nito. Shift into 4Lo... kung bumagal ang takbo at mahirap
iliko, ok itong unit. Huwag mo lang ihataw kasi baka may
masira. dont forget to lock the hubs first kung manual locking
hubs sya.

NOTE: All content is based on my readings from the DCP ferosa thread forums...

LEAFSPRINGS or Muelle

Press/repair weak springs - 500 each
Locally made spring - 2,500 each
OEM, casa original - 15,000 each
Imported uprated suspension kit (springs, t-bars, polybushes, u-bolts w/o shocks) - 30000++ each (I'm saving up for this set)

SHOCK ABSORBERS

KYB (Japan?) - "premium" gas-charged 800-900 each

Gabriel (local and US made) - local gas-charged 600 each. Imported Gas-Ryders 1200 each

Monroe (US, AU) - "Matic" gas-charged 600 each. "Gas Magnum" 2000 each

Explorer Pro Comps - "ES1000" 2000 each. "MX-6" 5000++ each

Biltein, Rancho, Trailmaster - way above my budget (4000-7000 each depending on the features)

Monroe shocks
Just replaced the old shocks on my feroza with gas-charged Monroe Matic Plus, 630 each. Another type called Monroe Gas Matic priced at 700 supposedly a bit "harder-but-almost-like-matic-plus" shock. There's also Monroe Gas Magnum priced more than 1-2K which offers the stiffest ride designed for heavy loading or offroading.

FYI, on the Monroe.com site only the Matic plus and Gas Magnum are listed on catalog. I wonder why?

If anybody's interested in buying, try the Amazon (forgot the whole shopname) along masangkay near soler st. According to them, they are the importer and nationwide distributor of Monroes, that's why they could offer such low price. They also supply most brand spark plugs.

So far, I find my Monroes better than the replaced ones, though I may have to get used to softer ride.

Cheap leaf springs
Along masangkay, there's a supplier called UE or EU something, I forgot the exact name. They sell a lot of different OEM parts for various local car assemblers like Columbian Motors. Radiators, clutch assemblies, leafsprings,

In fact, they manufacture and sell leafspings, Feroza leafsprings for only 1600+ eachHowever availability depends on their stock or production schedule.

cheapest leafspings I found is 1600+, check the post above.

for torsion bars, i got an estimate at about 6-8K each from 199 OffroadHouse, Tondo. Just don't know if this is an imported aftermarket or locally made. Ride(Banawe) has t-bars on their Ironman Suspension kit.

UE along Masangkay St. in Binondo has cheak OEM quality leaf springs available.

Some local 4x4 shops offer body lift kits for 20000+. according to an offroader, RATS (katipunan) sells body lift kit for around 7-8K only

mga feroza peeps, ewan ko lang kung mura itong mga parts na nakita ko sa guy and sell para sa feroza:

clutch disk new- 1000 pesos
pressure plate bnew- 1500 pesos

additional parts spec

propeller/driveshaft oil seals (front/rear props)

Size: 36-50-7
Brands: NOK (rubber), Payen, Musashi (metal type)
i dunno why but the part numbers of the new clutch disc, pressure plate and release bearing i recently got for my feroza were different from previous posts.

note: the stamped number on the discs and plates actually vary as i saw when i canvassed for parts from various shops in banawe. though the part number printed on their boxes are the same.

clutch disc: Daikin Exedy DHD 025
pres.plate: Daikin Exedy DHC 537
release bearing: KOYO RCT282SA
if i may add this info considering this is about radiator.

i had a new 3-row radiator from Lorenzo's Radiator for only P2800 (cheap imo). Plus free home service installation.

New radiator core is made of Denso (japan) while upper and lower tanks were copied based on the original radiator (thanks to ishiken's old rad). note: brackets not included, had the same old brackets used.

I just bought the exact same clutch parts from LVC this morning for my Feroza. I'm seeing the same part numbers as what you had listed earlier. Yung clutch disc and pressure plate were the only ones available but yung release bearing may issue pa pala. Sabi kasi ng partsman sa counter yang "KOYO RCT282SA" is really for the G100 Charades and Hijets. Yun din kasi ang nakasulat sa box in pentel pen. However he said meron din daw silang oem Feroza bearing na slightly larger in size pero bihira daw ang bumibili nun. More often than not yung mga kumukuha daw ng r-bearings ng Feroza sa kanila yung smaller (Charade/Hijet) bearings ang kinukuha. This incinsistency seems to only affect locally sold Ferozas. Anyway, kung mali daw ang fit ng new bearing sa Feroza ko pwede naman daw ibalik sa kanila and they'll replace it with the larger model. However just by looking at the parts on the counter mukhang di talaga bagay ang r-bearing ng Charade sa Feroza Daiken/Exedy pressure plate. Halos sagad na sa dulo ng diaphram springs nakapatong yung mating surface ng r-bearing. Duda ako sa ganitong set-up. But if you guys aren't having any problems from this parts combination then I'll take your word for it.

P.S. Eto nga pala ang prices na nakuha ko sa LVC for the transmission parts:

Clutch Disc; Daikin Exedy DHD 025 (Php 1,700)
Presure Plate; Daikin Exedy DHC 537 (Php 1,700)
Release Bearing; KOYO RCT282SA (Php 450)
