In Mexico The Chrysler Cordoba appeared in 1980, It came with only a V8 engine 90 degree, overhead valve, cast iron block and head, 360 ci. (5.9 Liters) 230 HP at 4000 RPM, Single 4BBL Carter Termo-Quad Carburetor and single exhaust, (the six-cylinder engine 225 ci. was not available).
The Standart equipment included: Power Locks & Windows, power brakes and steering, TorqueFlite A-727 automatic transmission, A 200 Km/h (120 MPH) speedo, front and rear bumper guards, tinted glass, digital clock "Chronometer", Automatic AC/Defroster, AM, FM Stereo with Cassete Player, power antenna, automatic speed control, illuminated entry system, keyless door locking, dual horns, dual chrome remote mirrors, opera windows, intermittent wiper/washers,landau vinyl roof and the same wheels that have my car (forged aluminum ten spoke wheels) with a whitewall 205/75R15 General Popo Tires (by the way those tires was very bad above 90 MPH due to tire overheating).

In 1981 the only change was the parking lamps between grille and headlamps the taillights that belongs from the Dodge Mirada and the seats.
Opcional Equipment: Leather Seats.

1980 & 1981 the Cordoba was the most expensive car in Mexico.

In 1982 was the last year for the Cordoba in Mexico ( 1 year before than U.S.)It came with a new crystalline pentastar hood ornament and the same taillights from 1981 model.
Standard equipment:Power brakes and steering,AM/FM Radio, ten-spoke wheels,Defroster, the carburetor was a 2 BBL (because Mexico was in a economic crash) but keeps the same engine (5.9 L. 360 ci.).
Optional Equipment: 4BBL Carter Termo-Quad Carburator, Power Locks and Windows, AC/Defroster (the Automatic AC/Defroster was dropped), AM/FM Radio with Cassette Player, power antenna, automatic speed control, intermittent wiper/washers, landau vinyl roof.
Equipment Deleted: Leather seats.

The best years of The Cordoba was the 1980 and 1981, In Mexico never appeared the Cordoba LS, Dodge Mirada and The Imperial.

Thats some information that I have about the Chrysler Cordoba "Made in Mexico" but I still searching more info.

Robin_Masters's 1981 Chrysler Cordoba This is my 1981 Chrysler Cordoba. My dad bougth it in February of 1981 when I was only 3 years old!!!, in 1992 I take it and never let it go, In 1994 with only 200K Kilometers (120K Miles)I rebuilt the tranny & entire engine, only with a few mods, Custom Cam shaft, Heads & Pistons, and a Dual Exhaust. The rest of the car is 100% Stock except for the radio, the Motorola Car Phone and the Gentex Autodim electronic mirror that came from my moms Ex-Cadillac. ( LOL :D )

(jejeje).
