I Ain't gotta lie to kickit.. I REALLY Wanted a CTR (Civic Type R for all you JDM newbies).. Pretty much because it's one of the funnest cars to drive and the bragging rights to say I have a car straight off the boat from japan.. Well, I don't know anyone in japan and Customs don't really like people smuggling cars from out of country to the US, especially Right hand drive cars..

It's a 1995 Honda Civic DX 2 door.. Nothing is stock.. Starting life as a 98hp wonder with an auto trans, it's repugnant reputation for lack of performance was really beginning to wear me thin.. 13" wheels, puny 1.25" tail pipe, top speed of ~55mph on the average freeway onramp.. SCREW THAT!

so.. in off time, to keep my mind off an idiot (Now ex) girlfriend, I went to work on the car..

Interior

I basically was going for the Type-R look.. I left all interior STOCK.. No 20" TV screens, no 10" tachs.. all I have are a pillar cluster with A/F and soon pyrometer guages.. I also plan to get a programmable pen style shift light to hide in my driver side air vent.. I plan on keeping it clean and functional..
I installed a clifford alarm, remote start, ECU kill, Start kill, fuel pump kill.. If you hot wire this car all you'll get is disappointment and ringing ears, that's if your lucky enough not to get your ass handed to you by the owner...

The stereo is about the only thing I'm not satified with..
The sub delivers sturnum rupturing bass and is really clean, however the sub is HUGE.. 1 12" solobaric on 1800 watts max..
I'd like to either move it to the side making a custom box, or move it to the floor.. I'm not quite sure where I'm going to get the volume from, but I'm sure I'll find it and keep everything semi stock and functional..

Exterior

The car is Granada black.. (Black with a bronze/gold flake to it) in direct sunlight it almost looks a little rootbeerish.. I purchased the SI-R tail lights from japan (Red/white as opposed to red/amber) And also installed a slick pair of SI-R corner lenses (Clear lens with black reflector) Next is the SI-R Headlights.. (Same as corner lenses)

It also sports the aggresive JDM front and rear bumpers.. (I was pissed to find out the JDM rear bumper is the same as the USDM except the exhaust cut out is slightly larger.. ) And is fitted with a Integra Type-R wing modified to fit the civic trunk..

There are NO badges on this car aside from the honda emblem on the center of the trunk lid and the 99 SI silver "DOHC V-TEC" Stickers on the 1/4 pannels in attemt to protect myself from officers that like inspecting swaps/engine mods.. Just a little more convincing that way, ya know?

I saw this and died laughing...
