My 79 Phoenix "LJ" makes fantastic daily driver. Was purchased in 2004 from original owner with all manuals, etc. Was maintained by Mr. Goodwrench in Nebraska; exported and now residing in New Brunswick Canada.

The car has 68,000 miles on it and is factory equipped with Buick V6 3.8 litre, 3-speed auto trans, p. steering and p. disc brakes up front. Interior has perfect original upholstery, and a new head-liner. A genuine Delco Am-Fm stereo radio and cruise control all work as factory new. I am installing a set of rear speakers to get a better stereo effect, and the rear window defogger fan set up to keep the window clear on cold wintery days. The A/C does need some TLC, hopefully just a charge. 5 Pontiac Rally II wheels and the original spare tire make it a car that attracts interest wherever it goes. Just installed 4 new 215/70R14 b/w all season radials, and they really look nice. 3 piece rear bumper filler and new rear bumper have been installed. Looks fantastic! August shots showing new tires, new rear stance with new rear springs, and car sits among peers at a car show. Plan to do a bit of body work and minor touch up and feather-edge paint to original camel colour. Planned on installing Sony am-fm cassette stereo in original dash openings to "keep as original as possible", however have an Apple I-Pod and FM transmitter that plays beautifully through my GM FM stereo radio.( Ah---new technology is great!!!) Car is currently ready for spring; snow tires will be set aside until next winter. Most people chastise me for driving it in the winter. It is not surprising that seniors remember the car style well, and people in their late 20s make positive comments. The women love the colour. Getting ready to refresh the paint after the snow is gone; plan on keeping paint code "camel metallic" since these colours look better than anything new. Changed my mind; last two photos show car in 79 GMC dark brown metallic. Now I will reinstall chrome wheel opening trim and rocker panel stainless trim. Car has 71,000 miles now!

Proudly a survivor; 1 of 1824 made!! Contact me at cam.moffatt@gnb.ca
