So in additional to the swap. I also added a few other things I forgot to mention. One of which was Tein Inner/Outter tie rods. One of mine was pretty bent up and the car was driving like crap. I opted to run these with the optional spacers to increase steering angle.
I also of course had to change out the exhaust, so I choose a GP sports Spec D. It's a full 3" from the cat back. I also have a 3" stainless downpipe. I unfortunately had to run my stock hollowed cat for a little bit, but as I write this a 3" test pipe is waiting for me at the UPS warehouse. It will be on by the time you read this I am sure. Happy Dance!! No more leak from my crappy stock cat, and no more bottle neck!
Lets see here, I also forgot to mention I have a ACT stage 2 clutch in there now with the swap. I originally bought all custom piping as well with a small front mount intercooler. I planned on running all the plumbing myself and having a small yet effecient IC setup. The XS Power intercooler was 18" wide at the core, 6.5" tall, and 3" deep. This would have fit perfect in the opening of the stock jdm front bumper. The problem I ran into is that custom stuff is never a guarantee, and will probably cost you more than it is worth. I am not saying all the time, but most of the time. I ended up having to borrow my friends IC and piping for a week while I figured out what to do with my "custom" piping. I ended up not being able to use it and just bought another FMIC and piping. The end result is much better anyway and I am pleased....even if I did have to buy two FMIC's.
