Honda Civic Sri 1.6L. Engine D16Y8 127 HP for a stock engine. Have a good Power. The D16y8 VTEC engine is a great engine because RPM can reach 7350rpm in my stock engine. Also if I add some part in the ECU system it could reach 8500rpm without any effect in this engine but the lifecycle of this engine will be a little short but it will improve a maximum power. Another part which add to the ECU of this engine is the AIT sensor timer that Give a good acceleration for the vehicle. I add this timer to my car it gives me 5 to 20 Hp it depends of the degrees of the timer u chose I mean the Mod you want to cruise in….. When you drive a VTEC engine in any drag race. The Rpm should reach to the final limit Rev. in the gears so that it will return to the next gear to the VTEC power. When VTEC start at 5150 RPM the rpm speed work you can easy reach after that to the final Rev..
