Here is the ugly frame before BD
After the 3inch Bd
After the BD the underside of truck
Here is a dark picture but this is when the truck first got off of the jack stands and laid body
Here is a blury crapy picture of me standing next to my truck I am only 5"02. I was a happy dude when it laid out on the rocker. That was a great moment and a big accoplishment, it brings a tear to my eyes ha ha
I still was putting parts back together
I got the truck running and somewhat put back together and ready to roll it out of the shop.
Now onto Body Droping the bed, there is a long story behind getting this bed, it took forever but i finially got one.
On the bed I put it on some big ass jackstands so i could get in and under it to slice it up.
I was courius to see how the bed would come out becuase i did the entire bed myself, and i think it came out nice, hopefully so will you all.
Here it is stock
I striped off the paint Did about 4 thousand measurments(It seemed like it) and marked the lines were it needed to be cut
This is the parts of the bedsides and wheel well that were cut to clear the wheels.
These 4 suppots have to be cut and extended, re-welded
I start the cuts along at the front of the bed first
After the front is cut, I cut all along the rear and along the sides then the bed was free.
I cut along the factory lines and around the main support at the rear.
This is an under side view of the rear supports that have to be cut in order for the bed to be free.
After the bed's shell is moved down over the floor It is aligned up, it is then tacked up and welded along the sides.
This pictue you can see the side support bars, I tacked these on before I cut anything, It help keep the bed from shifting side to side and it helped with the measurments.
After everthing is welded up I made a filler plate for the rear and welded it up fully and sealed it all
Everything is sealed and primered ready to Get Line-X
The bed was Raised 6 inches to clear the notch and other suspension stuff(compressors, valves etc.) I made 3inch square tubing spacers for the body drop, I will post some pics of them.
It lays hard and my truck looks like a truck again with the bed on, i drove it for a while with none.

This body drop was the hardest project i have done, but it was all worth it in the end, i learned alot of do's and dont's. My truck has been through alot but I love it. Now it needs some good paint and all I need is TIME AND MONEY , and don't we all.
