GroundDweller's 1996 Chevrolet S-10 PickupHere is a blury crapy picture of me standing next to my truck I am only 5"02. I was a happy dude when it laid out on the rocker. That was a great moment and a big accoplishment, it brings a tear to my eyes ha ha

GroundDweller's 1996 Chevrolet S-10 PickupI still was putting parts back together

GroundDweller's 1996 Chevrolet S-10 Pickup I got the truck running and somewhat put back together and ready to roll it out of the shop.

Now onto Body Droping the bed, there is a long story behind getting this bed, it took forever but i finially got one.
On the bed I put it on some big ass jackstands so i could get in and under it to slice it up.
I was courius to see how the bed would come out becuase i did the entire bed myself, and i think it came out nice, hopefully so will you all.

GroundDweller's 1996 Chevrolet S-10 PickupAfter the front is cut, I cut all along the rear and along the sides then the bed was free.
GroundDweller's 1996 Chevrolet S-10 PickupI cut along the factory lines and around the main support at the rear.

GroundDweller's 1996 Chevrolet S-10 PickupThis is an under side view of the rear supports that have to be cut in order for the bed to be free.

GroundDweller's 1996 Chevrolet S-10 PickupAfter the bed's shell is moved down over the floor It is aligned up, it is then tacked up and welded along the sides.
GroundDweller's 1996 Chevrolet S-10 Pickup
GroundDweller's 1996 Chevrolet S-10 PickupThis pictue you can see the side support bars, I tacked these on before I cut anything, It help keep the bed from shifting side to side and it helped with the measurments.

This body drop was the hardest project i have done, but it was all worth it in the end, i learned alot of do's and dont's. My truck has been through alot but I love it. Now it needs some good paint and all I need is TIME AND MONEY , and don't we all.
