Here is my Project Mayhem!!
This was a long and hard project, I had never attempted a BD before, so this was my first.
I have alot of pics of the body drop process, email me if you may want more.
Here is my truck gettin striped down, all that was left was a empty cab and a motor and frame. You can see me gettin ditry there on the side giving the thunbs up!!
Here is my inside gettin striped
The cutting begans, at the front mounts. Make sure and do alot of measurments before cutting, like the old saying go's "Measure Twice and cut once"
Both sides are welded back strong, cleaned, primered and painted
Bag on the Left is a Conitech 2500, it was a great bag, but with the body drop needed more lift as you can see from the pic i barely cleared, turning became impossible especially up driveways.
So installed the bigger Slam Specialites RS72s.
I had to cut alot more to make room for the bag on both sides
Pass side
Driver side
Now with these RS72s i can get some lift as well as the bags take lesser pressure to fill so i get more air out of my tank. These slams are the best bags ever!!
