SaleenTBIRD's 1994 Ford Thunderbird

I am expecting to get the car fixed up to looking and running very good again. And the car will be up for sale around summer. If anyone is interested I live in Ohio near Columbus. I paid $5,000 when I first bought the car, and I wrecked it which set me back another $3,500. Also, the system in it took around another $1,000 to $1,500... So I have plenty of money in the car, I will be looking for around $5,000 yet I am open for negotiations/trade. If anyone would like more information please email jordolang@hotmail.com and I will gladly answer all questions. Thanks alot!

Wow I havent looked at this thing forever. Latest news is I won first place in our local stereo competition in the 501-1000 watt class. I got a new box and ended up pushing 144.? db. It was a while ago so not really sure what I managed. Since the summer I put the car into a pole at a local drive through and have a big mark in the front. Also I backed up into some dickhead that parked behind me in my driveway at 3 am... So it needs a bit of work to get fixed back up.

I took out the main piece of the dash, the part that is around the speedometer cluster. I started to sand it and never quite got around to finishing it, so I have been driving for around 4 months with a half torn apart car. And last thing that comes to my mind is a few weeks ago my brakes got so bad that I ended up with a brake pad lodged in between the rotor and the thing that holds it. It turned out to put me to a dead stop just pulling into the garage to work on it, I had to tow it from work. I replaced both disk brakes/pads and the rear drum brakes also. I only did that about a month and a half ago, and I can feel one of my front rotors warping already!!!!! The other seems to be fine which leads me to believe that my brake line is crimped. So I gotta take them back and change them again and replace my brake line.

So the car isnt doing too well. I am expecting to get the car fixed up to looking and running very good again. And the car will be up for sale around summer. It's a 3.8L V6. Nothing special about this car performance wise yet. I know it has a Saleen decal kit on it, but it is strictly for looks (I bought the car like that). Yet if the car survives it past me, it will be a true S281 someday.

I am amazed that the car has survived it this long. I am only 17 years old, and I tend to tear the living piss out of it. I wrecked it once, cost me about $3,500 to fix that up. Rear ended a woman going about 45 mph. Ever since then the car has gone down hill.

My dad is pretty strict when it comes to performance. I am not even allowed to put an exhaust on it unless I take it to one specific place to get it done. However I do have a set of Flowmaster 40 Series mufflers and I am waiting to get the money to get them put on.

So for another half year, I am concentrating on the system and the looks.

Any tampering with the car must be done without him knowing about it. I removed my air silencer and turned it into a ram air setup at 3 am one night just so he wouldnt know. I even saved him about $150 by going to the junkyard and buying a new front rotor and a pair of brand new brake pads from Autozone; I changed the rotor and pads myself and he nearly had a heart attack. My brake pads had worn to be about a half centimeter thick, so it was metal on metal against the rotor; and it completely ate the rotor away. Yet he was worried about me not having it done by a pro.

While taking pictures I thought I should go ahead and take a few burnout pics. Well my rear driver side tire is going bald, and my rear passenger tire is brand new. Lets just say I only got 2 pictures, they look good and all, but my rear driver side tire isnt going bald anymore; now it is bald.
