This is a mild yet fast '86 245.

iaintthatfast's 1986 Volvo 200-Series

old pic. more to come soon.
The mods. include:
TME sport springs with heavy duty billies
ATE power disc with pbr race pads and super blue fluid.
28mm sway bars front and rear
adjustable panhard rod
poly urethane suspension bushings all around
and sway bar bushings too
IPD's sport exhaust
Corrado G-60 k&n intake
upper trangulated stress bar
turbo fender braces
lower braces from a turbo
swapped out automatic for an m47 five speed from a 740
lighted flywheel (weighs only 8lbs.)
limited slip diff. (spider gears)from a gt
Dave barton white face gauges
MOMO steering wheel
3-guage pod from an 82-84 turbo, gt, glt located under stereo (where vents go)
hella 500 series foglights hooked to a factory gt foglight switch.
swedish license plate (it's german in the older pic)

near future mods:
wheel adapters from gil racing to fit volvo "titan" wheels
R brake conversion
rebuilt motor to make 200hp without a turbo!! (by boreing it out to a 3 liter, useing a diffrent crank, cam it, p&p the head and intake, headers from s.a.m.,bigger throttle body from some other volvo, custom cnc'd fuel rail, larger injectors, and hotter ignition, i will make a way to bypass the air meter too for more air, chip from s.a.m. now just imagine if i threw on an audi turbo and i tightened the spring in the valve w/ lowered comression and an subaru intercooler. check it, the b230f is about 2.3 maybe 2.4 liters. there are motors out there that are smaller with more power than this volvo motor. it is pretty fast already for a heavy car. imagine that motor in a mk 2 gti or something. hahaha right...
recover the recaros in my garage in factory brown viynl and install.
although its lowered I want it lower. maybe rebuild entire suspension w/ coilovers and drivetrain w/ a quaffe diff. or however you spell it.
i also want to use a bmw e30 m3 steering rack and maybe even transmission.

page 1: You just read it
page 2: Some pics of my mod's
page 3: 850 BTCC sedan project

You should see what I am doing to the BMW :D

Hi..thanks for your comments. Im planning to lower only the front end a few inches to get a somewhat better look and achieve even more road holding performance. All this is planned for the "big redesign" beginning in 4 years, which includes a new engine and drivetrain. Right now Im at the "parts gathering phase" ;-) cu and have a nice day...MP
