Shawn A. Eckert, 19, of Nashua died Sunday December 17, 2006 in Dracut, Massachusetts as a result of an automobile accident. He was born on July 7, 1987 at F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Cheyenne, Wyoming, a son of Kim (La Belle) and Khalid Musameh of Nashua and Kenneth W. and Nancy Eckert of Falls Church, Virginia. He had lived in Patchogue, New York, Pittsfield, Massachusetts and Milford, New Hampshire prior to Nashua in 1997 where he attended Bicentennial, Fairgrounds, and Nashua High School South. He graduated in 2006 and began his mechanical engineering degree at the University of Massachusetts in Lowell. Shawn loved cars and was selected to compete in the Ford AAA Auto Skills Competition. His goal was to create and design affordable, fuel efficient, low pollution, environmentally friendly and stylish vehicles for everyone. His hobbies included auto “anything”, mostly Honda, Radio Control (RC) cars, skiing, soccer, water sports, computers, and movies. He was in the Auto-Tech Club at Nashua High, Nashua Youth Soccer league, and the Nashua High School Ski Team. He had just successfully completed his first semester as a freshman at U-Mass, Lowell. Shawn was predeceased by a grandmother, Jean La Belle of Milford, New Hampshire. Besides his parents, survivors include his three brothers, Airman Daniel R. Eckert stationed at Eglin Air Force Base, Fl, Daniel and Sammy Musameh both of Nashua; a sister-in-law, Lindsey Eckert of Florida; maternal grandparents, Clement La Belle of Milford, NH and Ronald and Gail Eckert of Denver, NC; two aunts, Tina M. Parsons of Candia, NH, and Diane Pino of Goodyear, AZ; his uncles, Omar Musameh of Kansas City, KS, Dennis Eckert of Frederick, MD and Derek Pino of Goodyear, AZ; his cousins, Katrina and Matt Fontaine of Raleigh, KS, and Erica and Jordan Pino of Goodyear, AZ; his step-brother and step-sister, Jordan Kienzle of Minneapolis, MN and Ashley Kienzle of Silver Spring, MD; close family friends, Jarrod Bazelmans, Linh Trinh, Brittney St. Laurent, Ryan Kuba, and numerous other friends.
