GR8FLPT's 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser This is where it all starts. This is the picture of the car the night I picked it up. This shot is taken in front of one of our favorite hangouts.

This is where it is now! (the list continues to grow...)GR8FLPT's 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser

The Growing Mod List:
Modified Stock air box (removed & shorted silencer in top half; smoothed for less turbulence)
K&N drop-in air filter
AMX1397 Airbox-to-throttle body pipe (removes another silencer that causes restriction to air flow to turbo)
AMX1397 Up Charge Pipe (removes balloning effect of stock rubber pipe to throttle body from intercooler)
AMX1397 Turbo to hot side IC pipe (removes pinched pipe from turbo to IC)
Fully Built Motorsports bored Throttle Body (larger borethan stock)
Fully Built Motorsports ported & polished turbo & exhaust manifold (adds another 30hp over stock)
Mopar S2 WGA
PSI-PHI piggy back computer (we are pushing a tad under 300 hp now ;o)
NGK V-gap spark plugs (gapped to .035)
Freedom Designs Strut tower bar
Mopar Stage 1 ECU (235 hp/260 ftlbs)
Mopar 2006 Plastic composite intake manifold mod (increases flow & adds 10HP)
Mopar Stage 1 sway bars
Mopar stage 2 Coilovers
APC Carbon Fiber tailights
PTeazer Cowl Induction Hood
PTeazer Bummerette & Retro Grille
PTeazer rollpan
Painted 2001 fold away heated mirrors
Painted upper roof trim
Painted antenna bezel
Chrome interior package (steering wheel spokes, shifter knob, door pulls)
Smoked Ventshades (front & rear)
Sylviania SilverStar head & fog lights

I started with the Mopar Stage 1 Kit. Then I swapped intake manifolds. This brought the car to 245 hp/ 275 ftlbs (according to Mopar engineering). This really got things going. I Modified the stock intake by adding a K&N dropin air filter. I tried the Airaid CAI. But took it out. I did not gain much more than the stock airbox w/ the K&N so I removed it. Then I modified the silencers in the stock air box. I figured I would save the extra $$ for other mods.
The car "sat" for awhile with no real mods until December. Then I recieved a package just before Christmas. It was a Mopar Stage 2 coilover kit & Mopar stage 1 sway bar kit. Living up here in the frozen northlands, install did not begin until around March when it was warm enough to do the driveway install.

Both your old and new PT's are sweet. Any problems painting the center dash piece?
