The 300 kilometre trip to Calgary was the first time any of us had been on a road trip. It was a long and adventerous one. The Plymouth started to overheat just after Leduc. After it cooled down, we added some more coolant and headed off. We made it to Red Deer to fuel up where the fuel pump decided to die. We were able to locate an electric pump and make some roadside repairs.

It took Jarred and Donnie about an hour to find an electric fuel pump and wire it in. The new electric fuel pump from Napa died about 15 minutes from Red Deer.

The solution was to gravity feed the carb using an old 1 gallon jug. It worked like a charm except we had to stop every 25 kilometres or so to fill the jug up with gas.

About 50 kilomtres away from Calgary, Donnies International quit. The battery had completely boiled over. Luckily, Jarred brought an extra battery. Jarred disconnected the alternater so it wouldn't fry his battery. The voltage regulater had died.
With the new battery installed, the Cornbinder still wouldn't run. Lucky Don brought along extra points and a condensor.

We rolled into Calgary at about 6:30pm after leaving Edmonton at 7:15 am.

After taking in the Diablos show, we grabbed some pizza and a motel room for the night.

The next morning, a new voltage regulator and working electric fuel pump were tracked down at the local Napa store.

The Plymout Plaza was running pretty hot so we took it pretty easy going home.

With the vehicles in working order, the trip back was a little less stressfull.

Please help me find my grandmothers car..... It was a 1959 Buick LeSabre 4 door, pink in colour, it was sold to a gentlemen that lived in or around Looma, AB. I absolutely need to find this car so i can bring it to its true home. My mothers boyfriend sold the car about 8- 10 years ago to a buddy of his and he no longer keeps in contact with the gentlemen he sold it to. My Grandmother was my very best friend and i need to get this car back as it was the car she was married in, unfortunately my grandmother has passed and i need this car. So anyone who has any idea as to the wear abouts of this car maybe it would be greatly appreciated if you could please email me at cbrady1928@gmail.com once again i would like to stress how important this car is to me and how badly i need to find it. Thank you for your time Chris

hi i too have some really old cars and trucks .... in edmonton i have stored a full body shell of a first yr plymouth coupe convertable(1928). i was wondering if any of you car nuts might have an interest in it as i no longer have the time right now or the funds.i even have the original side mirror! i saved it from the crusher and would think it should be worth a fair amount due to the serial number being low.
