My body lift is 2 inch made by Rocky Road with steering extension. Rocky Road suggests that you purchase the steering extension, but if you are considering this lift, you MUST purchase it. The instructions with this kit are terrible and you are left to figure out most things on your own. I suggest you purchase a shop manual for your truck before beginning.
I was in search of a suspension lift for this truck, but I did not want to spend $700-$1000 so I searched the internet and discovered a site that tells you how to use 2 inch Jeep XJ/TJ coil spacers by boring the centre of them out by 2.5 inches. Then, you disassemble the front and rear suspension, insert the spacers on top of the coils and put everything back together. Sounds simple......But its not. Here are some of the suspension lift pictures
I started to extend the bumpstops with box steel, but realized that it wouldn't work and I didn't really need to extend them anyways.
OUCH!
Torn down rear.
