This page has pictures of the interior of the SHO.
This is my "Ichiban" shift knob that I put on. I cut the shifter down about an inch and a half, cause the new shift knob actually sat a little higher than the stock one...
This is just a pic through the rear window.
All SHO's come with full-power driver seats, and USUALLY passenger seats, while the G1's and G2's came with adjustable side bolsters which help keep you in place while taking those tight turns.
This is my rearview mirror that I put in. It has auto-dimming and a digital compass on the top-right. Luckily, I have a sunroof, so there were already + and - wires up there, so I didn't have to run the wires all the way down around the window.
Here is a closer pic of the compass on the mirror.
This is my "custom" moonroof switch. It looks alot better than the stock one and eliminates the possibility of it breaking like alot of the SHO's moonroof switches, and it lights up, so that's cool. It is actually the window switch from a Ford Contour. (You can kinda see what the stock switch looked like if you look below at my sunroof pics.)
This is how I wired the switch. Obviously, it did not come with a harness that just plugged into my car, so I had to "hard-wire" it in. I got the wiring diagrams for the switch and just soldered the wires from the stock harness onto the switch. Then I coated the whole thing with epoxy so that none of the connections could short. It certainly doesn't look pretty, but you never see it from the inside, and it gets the job done.
This is my carbon fiber gauge bezel. It is real carbon fiber, so it has a nice, deep, 3-dimensional look to it unlike that stick-on stuff. Soon, I plan on getting some nice, custom, white-face gauges in there, probably my next mod.
This is my Steering wheel. I put a small Ford logo in there. It doesn't look perfect yet, but I like it.
This is the sunroof (go figure). In this pic, you can see the stock sunroof switch installed. I replaced it with the Contour switch (above) mainly because this one just looks cheap. The stock ones also have a tendancy to break or "push in," and I don't want that to happen again.
This is my sunshade. I put in a solid sunshade versus the standard vented sunshade (I beleive the solid ones were for the '95 model Taurii, or the '94-'95). I re-upholstered it black, since black interior was not offered after '93.
These are some pics of my new Hard-button EATC unit. This one has the hard buttons, so they do not break like the units out of the 1994's and older. (There is a light out in the top left of the unit in the pic, but that has been fixed since then)
I put an LED strip behind the SHO emblem on the passenger side of the dash. Right now it is hooked up to the headlights. I'm thinking of putting a switch in.
