BlackMazda626's 1997 Mazda 626

This is my 1997 Mazda 626. I got this car last year in Feb. 2004. I had just turned 17 and may Dad had this car come in on trade at his work. They were going to wholesale it to get rid of it. The car had a very bad suspension kit put on and rode like a go-cart. It had adjustable coil over springs, but the adjustable part was gone? So I bought some Mazdaspeed racing springs so I could drive it.

The car sat about 3 inches off the ground. Factory is about 6 1/2 inches front and 7 1/2 inches rear. The Kit I got said it would lower 1 1/2 to 2 inches from factory. It is at 4 inches font and back. I like the way it looks now and it is a very good kit. Nice ride driving and stiff in turns. BlackMazda626's 1997 Mazda 626 BlackMazda626's 1997 Mazda 626
I just put my wheels on last week and they are 17x7.5" ADR Battle Exe With Wanli S1088 tires that are 205/40 17. They are a real good tire with almost a half inch of tred!! I plan to do a full disc brake kit at the end of the summer.

I put a DC sports muffler on it and it has a 4 1/2 inch tip, with a high flow cat and 2 1/2 inch custom made pipe. Loud deep sound that annoys my neighbors.

I was going to put some DC headers on, but I have bigger plans now.

BlackMazda626's 1997 Mazda 626

Hopefully by the end of the summer my Dad and I will put a turbo kit on this car.

BlackMazda626's 1997 Mazda 626

They don't really make turbo kits for this car so we have to custom make it all.

I would like to have the car make about 400 HP, but that is going to be hard. My goal right now is the 300 to 325 HP range. Stock is like 140 to 150. BlackMazda626's 1997 Mazda 626 BlackMazda626's 1997 Mazda 626
I think my car right now has about 170 with cat back exhaust, a custom made Injen cold air intake and a chip. So I hope to almost double the power and get it running in the 12 to 13 sec. range.
I painted this to make it look better. I cleaned it really good and sprayed it with krinkle finsh and a little red paint.

The interior is in real good condition and I take real good care of the whole car.

I work at a detail shop washing Nice cars like BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, Hummer, show cars and etc. and I clean mine just as well.

The sound system is not the best but works for now. I have a Kenwood deck, some 300 watt amp and two 10" MTX subs. BlackMazda626's 1997 Mazda 626 BlackMazda626's 1997 Mazda 626 I am getting a short throw shifter and may be a cluch upgrade.
I also plan on doing mirror fade to black tint on all the widows at 20%.

BlackMazda626's 1997 Mazda 626

I have no plans on a body kit because it looks good the way it is. People ask if it has a body kit on it because of the front bumper.

BlackMazda626's 1997 Mazda 626

I cut every thing out and put some mesh in so it looks a lot better then stock.

BlackMazda626's 1997 Mazda 626

I have also done some head light upgrades and put in some blue HID look lights that are brighter and some yellow fog lights. BlackMazda626's 1997 Mazda 626 BlackMazda626's 1997 Mazda 626 I also have a JSP carbon fiber wing that looks cool. The paint is in pretty good condition other than some rock chips on the hood.
This is my Bruce Lee Dragon coin I made in shcool. I used a quarted, smashed it, cut it out, and polished it.

.
I just got a new windshield because my last one had a lot of rock chips in it and it cracked one day when I was washing it. "Don't wash on a very hot day with cold water you could crack the windshield".

I may repaint the car in a year or so I am going to UVSC right now since I just graduated High school and am taking some body shop classes. If I do repaint it it will be Java Black, the 2004 WRX black metallic. CAR SOLD!!!

Hey, Very nice car. I am writing to get the word out. I will be opening up a brand new import car shop called Innovated Imports. The Grand opening will be Next April 2007. The grand opening will feature a large BBQ, car show, models, DJ, and much more. There may also be a raffle drawing to win a heavily modded car which is still undetermined. I understand that this is quite a ways out still but I would like to get the word around Salt Lake as soon as possible. Please spread this word to all car clubs, car meets, cruises etc... The shop will be able to do anything you may need from engine swaps and tuning, to accessories, audio/video sales and custom install, upholstery, possible dyno, custom paint, you name it and Innovated Imports is going to be able to do it. This will allow us to get you the best prices out there. If you would like to see one of the shops showroom vehicles in the making come by and see my site. Also, if you have any ideas of a car that you may like to see raffled off and possibly win at the grand opening please write me back or e-mail me at Innovated_Imports@hotmail.com Keep up the good work on your rides and let me know if you have a question about anything. Take care. I look forward to meeting you all.

Nice looking 626. Check out mine. Check out www.mazda626.net for info on making your own turbo build up. It's not as costly as you'd think, but A LOT more work than you'd thing. Good luck. Keep me updated on any more mods you put on.
