This is a stock (aside from new engine parts), 1982 Dodge Aries station wagon I got from my parents this past year. Even though the car is a Dodge, it sports the much forgotten HEMI Mitsubishi 2.6l. Alot of people hate this engine becuase it can be difficult to service. However, it is a redesign of a desil engine used in many tractors and heavy duty equipment, so many parts are tougher then they need to be. With good care and maintainance (especially of the cooling and pulse air system), this motor will last a long time.
The air conditioning system was completely rehauled in 2000. It also has a new carburetor. The front right wheel fell off while my dad was driving it, so the entire front suspension was replaced. Apparently, after seeing pictures of other 80's Dodge cars, mine has a pretty clean engine. In the picture to the right you can see the new carburetor.
This past year I was having trouble with the headlights draining the battery while driving at night, so I got a new alternator. When i went to get the alternator, I replaced the water pump and all of the belts since they were going bad and I figured it would be good to take care of everything a one.
The new alternator.
The new water pump.
