HI, I just recently bought this 1968 Satellite from a car show in Rhinebeck, NY. My dad has a 69 GTX, and eversince he had it, I always loved it so I had to get one like it, so this is close enough. It has a 383 Big Block, with a 2 barrel carb. The paint is really good on it soo it will stay for now. Any suggestions, feel free to tell me.

I just got a new engine dress up kit for my car, all chrome. There was a problem though when I got it, the chrome air cleaner is for a 4 bbl carb, and I have a 2bbl carb. I have the valve covers on it already and I am going to buy a chrome air cleaner for a 2bbl carb.

Keep it a Satellite. I have a 68 Sat 383 4bbl code H and I would never think of turning it into a clone. Satellites, especially ones with factory 383's, are pretty rare nowadays. All I do see is GTXs and roadrunners. Also, that grill isn't factory for a 68. You might want to take a look at that.

A GTX clone for a Satillite? Big mistake in my book. LESS... Satillites made. We had a '68 sport Satillite convertible my sister bought in 1972 as her car at age 16. It was still under the factory warranty. It was a 383 magnum, 4bbl, 727 torqueflite trans, duel exhaust. Dark blue exterior with black bucket seats and full console. That car FLEW! My parents made me sell it in 1985 for $300. Thanks to my sister. Good luck with your car. Later.
