1987 was an extreme year for Jaguar, Coventry, England.
This was to be the year for the most dramatic changes to the XJS. Records indicate Jaguars 'lowest Production year was 1987.
This due in entirety to the fact that Jaguar had made numerous changes and modifications on the assembly line. Resulting in a mere 3600+/- units rolling off the end of the line.
Records also show this was one of 425 units of this particular configuration shipped on the world market. Approximately 325 had made it onto Continental N/America.
Research has offered up that there are approximately 162 of these little beauties remaining on the road in 2001.
This a completely stock 1987 1/2 (Yes, a 1/2) JDHT Certified Jaguar XJS V12 Coupe.
If anyone were to check up on it, you would see the service manuals even refer to the 1987 1/2 in specific sections.
It's stored 6/6 and it's driven occaisionally during the summer months, to trade shows, swap meets, and various auto runs.
