Finally back on the road, it drives and runs great. It was my battery charger that caused the problem,it said it was charged, but it wasnt, what a pain in the ass.

I finally got around to working on the car, I think my starter is bad, Im going to scrounge up 70 bucs for a new one tomarrow.

My car is being a pain in the ass, my starter is craping out for some reason.

My neighbor is redoing my throttle linkage right now.

I broke down down the block.

My fuel pump is pumping way to much pressure to the carb.

I need a regulator.

My fan needs to be put on a thermostatic switch.

Definatly need to go to a muffler shop

I drove it around the block

Its time for an exauhst system for sure.

I have a couple of bugs to work out
-the clutch leaks a little
-i think the termostat is stuck closed
-i have to get the fan off a switch and on to a temperature switch
I have to clean up the throttle.

I backed the car out front and drove it back up the drivway.

It seamed awsome.

I've get to get the carb setup right.

I also still have to break in the cam properly.

The clutch is leaking, so I have to fix it.

the fan and throttle are working, but jerry riged.

They will work for the first couple of drives.

After some cleaning up of the wiring and making sure none of them touched the headers IT STARTED.

Im going to get it running this weekend.

I fixed the starter with a relay.

I just have to plug a hole on the side of the block and run some vacume lines.

O ya, and buy some gas.

I didnt have the money for the starter today, so it will be tomarrow

I did try to circulate the oil though, yet another setback, Oil came shooting out of a hole above the oil filter.

I taped up all the wiring tomarrow im getting up and finishing up getting the wiring out of the way

Im gonna buy some small stuff i need

Fluids for the engine, tranny, and diffential tomarrow.

I also need a resistor for the TACH wire

If my freind comes over ill get it running.

Tomarrow is fluids, vacume, and a heat shield for the wiring.

I called JTR and got the correct drivshaft flange, im sending back the 2nd 2.25" tomarrow.

Other then that i got nothing done.

It should be here by Thursday.

Friday ill have it put in, maybe this weekend i will start it up

I got the parts yesterday and i put the gears in for the speedo

JTR sent me the wrong flange again.

I also cleaned up the engine bay and finished up a couple of smaller things like the fan shroud and such.

Ill send JTR the flange back.

I have a wierd block with the dipstick on the right and a hole made for it.

Im modifying my dipstick i have to work

Speedo gears, a drivshaft flange and some more time to work on it come on the 26th

I had to replace my oil pan gasket because the guy put an earlier one on there.

That was a major setback/bitch

tomarrow im gonna put oil in it and try to crank it over.

Everything works electrical wise.

I put the battery in and turned the key, the fuel pump started up.

No fires (YAY!)

The headlights, tailights, ect. work perfectly.

I wired up the fuel pump, it was a lot easier then it looked (for once) 10 minute job.

Now i just have to figre out the speedometer and tach

We traded the wrong parts, but im still getting the right flange from him

I got a new dizzy cap because i broke my last one (dont ask)

I also ordered the ground wire and and dust cap for the dizzy

tomarrow im gonna finish wiring, get a battery, and try to crank the engine over.

i got the flange off (with lots of blood, sweat and tears) and tomarrow im swaping it with a guy from AZ.

I got the driveshaft back yesterday, its perfect with the correct measurments.

The 75 datsun Z car has a different flange on the differential.

The piece jags that run makes is for the 2" differential flange, 70-74 and 76-78 have this flange, the 75 has the 2.25" flange.

It escapes me how the hell they could change it for one year and put it bac the next but w/e.

I have to find a junkyard and pull the flange off a non 75 Z car and bolt it onto my differential.

Nothing works the first time.

The drivshavt shop made it 4" too long, they are fixing it for free.

I dropped my distributor cap and chipped it.

Thats another 30 bucs down the draim

It is gettin closer though

The tranny shop is looking for a speedometer drive gear for the T5.

I FOUND THE DRIVSHAFT SHOP!

I ordered the drive shaft 21-1/2" with a T5 and JTR flange.

$201.85

OUCH!

Sapposed to be done Wed.

This weekend, its gonna be the maiden voyage.

Being the dubass i am, i cant find the drivshaft shop

I've tried 3 different days.

I can not find it.

Other then that i got a bunch of wiring done.

I got the anti-freeze and water in.
I found a driveshaft shop to make me a driveshaft
I hooked up the speedo cable.

I tried to fill the tranny and figured out that the speedo drive gear held in oil.

ATF dripped down my back.

That wasnt fun.

I got the radiator hoses clamped on and the fan bolted up right.

tommarow Ive got to put some coolent in it and go to a driveshaft shop

I bought the pullies and bolted them up.

I got the oil pressure switch

and i filled the engine with oil.

Gettin close.

tomarrow is tranny oil, coolent hoses, coolent, and wrapping up the wiring.

I bolted the carb on with a spacer.

I bought oil for it and screwed up.

I forgot to put silicone on the valve cover gaskets and oil leaked out.

I fixed the problem and tomarrow Ill get it filled up.

Ill do this along with get pullies and belts and get that hooked up.

I put in the thermostat.

I ordered an oil pressure safty switch for it.

After i hook that up, get the belts on, and oil in the engine and tranny Ill be ready for the first start up.

Man its gonna piss off the neighbors.

Didnt have much to do today, im waiting for more money.

I am about done with wiring, just needs fluids and the driveshaft.

I got the clutch line to work.

I got one header in, the other goes in tomarrow.

Hopefully after school i can put some oil in and put the pullies and belts on.

I also need to get a driveshaft.

thought i had the clutch plumbed, started bleading it, my line leaked.

The fuel line goes fromt the tank to the carb now

tommarow im putting oil in the engine and tranny, finishing the clutch, and maybe starting on the throttle and putting on the headers.

Alright, the wiring is getting done.

I wired up the water temp sensor, the alternator and almost done with the starter.

Tomarrow if im not to busy im going over to our driveshaft shop to get a quote for the work.

I ordered a part that i need from JTR which lets me use the stock datsun water temp sensor for the temp guage.

School has been a biotch, i havnt updated for a while

I got the water pump and altertator in, the fuel line is into the engine compartment, i just need to hook it up to the carb.

I got the fan bolted in. I just used straps of aluminum sheet metal and bols for mounts. If you have a mechanical fan and want an electrical, dont buy a flexilite or other after market fan, go to a junkyard, and pull a 2 speed fan out of a ford taurus. They really suck. HAHAHA. Maybe picks of engine bay with carb, air cleaner, and fan in tomarrow. Maybe even headers.

I got the intake manifold on, the carb on, i got a driveshaft which needs to be shortended. The radiators in. when i get back on thursday Ill get the fuel lines going. Its wrapping up, pretty quick ill have it running.

I got the shifter bolted in. After that i sat in my driveway, shifting it through the gears. lol. I was practicing my 2-3 shift. lol. Anyway, the swap is moving along now. The intake and carb are getting bolted on tomarrow. Hopefully ill get the Alternator, water pump, and distributor. My neihbor has the pullies and driveshaft that i hope can get sent to the drivline shop befor friday. Another stupid ass vacation to vegas. I HATE VEGAS. There is nothing to do in vegas for a 16 year old.

Alright, now the fun part of working on cars is actually here. The crossmember was beeing a biatch. Now, my freind that is helping me got back from colorado. He figured out the problem and tomarrow the engine and transmission will be sitting in my car on the weight of the cars wheels. he also found me a drive shaft that will work, so Ill have that shortened next week. This weekend Ill buy all of the accesories (alternator, water pump, and distributor), bolt in the radiator, bolt in the accesories, and finish wiring. maybe Ill be driving it to the muffler shop by the end of the week. Well, probably not but hey I can wish. Ill also try to get some pics that i said ill get by a week ago.

Works goin slow on it. I got the engine back in. I need to bolt u the rear crossmember somehow. not lookin good. I also have spent today and am spending tomarrow at Malibu. I love the beech and might as well go as its like 95 with 80% humidity here in Borebank (burbank).

My stupid ass forgot to do another thing so I had to take the engine out again. The clutch fork hits the firewall so I have to take out the beat stick and beat the firewall in 3 or 4 inches.
Tomarrow I'm spending my whole day on the car. The firewall, the engine put in. The transmission crossmember bolted up, and the driveshaft measurments sent into the driveshaft shop. I need to get this thing done. Maybe if I have time I'll buy the alternator, water pump and distributor.

Took the engine out and put it back in to get the transmission crossmember braces out. Put the starter in. Still no pics, forgot.

Finally back from hell. I bought a starter today and tried to bolt it up. I didnt fit. I returned it and got my money and was about to pay for the one that did fit but I was $3 short. GODAMMIT! My mom is thinking about buying an 89 Sea Ray. It has a small block chevy (mericruser) and is an open bow. BOATING KICKS ASS!

I bolted up the mounts today. I also took my old 8" harmonic balencer off my 355 and put on a smaller one. A bigger harmonic balencer will hit the front crossmember. Tomarrow's the day. the engine is going in at least for a test fit. I'm going to the dreaded Kragen to buy an alternator, waterpump, and starter in the morning. Hopefully I'll get some pics if i remember.

Bolted up the transmission today. Starting to figure out he wiring. O yea and one more thing.

After the accident i took a couple of days off because of soreness and just getting tired of ordering wrong parts. I fixed my trailbike, and just hung out. Today i finally started working again. I bolted the correct flywheel (because the one i ordered was wrong). I got that from a freind. I also bolted on the clutch disk and pressure plate. Tomarrow comes the starter, bellhousing and hopefully bolting on the transmission.

officially started the rebuilding part of the swap. I'm done tearing up my Z. I put the master cylinder in. Tomarrow I hope to get the flywheel bolts i bought off summitracing.com. If they come the engine is going in either tomarrow or the next day.

I finally realised that I dont need a flywheel cover to bolt the engine and trans together. I also learned that GM doesnt make the flywheel cover for an 86 camaro anymore. This is really a pain in the ass. lol

both places orded the wrong part for my car. I even gave them the GM part number and they still fckt it up. The engine is still sitting on the crane and the trans is sitting on my workbench. It shouldn't be this hard to find a flywheel cover.lol.

Got my bellhousing today. The guy didnt even clean it or take the fluid out of the slave cylinder, never know what your gonna get on ebay. should be bolting it together by thursday.

Transmission shop called and said the T5 will be done tomarrow. Just ordered the clutch, flywheel and master cylinder. About to win ebay auction with bellhousing, fork and slave cylinder. That was more money than expected. lol
