Welcome to my web page dedicated to our 1960 Chevy Impala. Though not completely perfect, it is a very clean daily driver which drives and rides like new. Everything in the car works except the radio. It has a few pieces of trim that have dings which will need to be replaced, and a little rust repair around the top of the rear wheel wells which will need to be redone at some point, but the floor pans and truck are like new which is very unusual. We found this car in southern Illinois in late 2004 and had it shipped to eastern North Carolina where my father lives. Now the car is at our house in New York City. I'm planning a complete restoration to begin Summer 10 after tax season. Car will change from white to red with white top. Should look really nice once it is done and of course I'll place updated pics up detailing the entire process! Thanks for stopping by.
UPDATE 06 Sept 2007 - I finally found a decent running 348 for my 60. A friend found the engine in a 58 4dr down in North Carolina and bought it for me. We'll clean it up, replace gaskets, water pump, valve guides etc before installing it when the car goes under the knife for restoration.

Page 2 - The first few pics were taken Feb 2006. The rest of page 2 are the most recent pics of the car taken March 2007. I put the original 14" wheels and wide white walls back on the car as it was meant to look.

The interior is almost perfect!

Underneath is as clean as on top.

Trunk is also like new.
