The sound system started out originally as the OEM BMW issued head unit, speakers, and tweeters. Then it was swapped out for a Nakamichi head unit, Denon 10-disc CD changer, upgraped ADS speakers with tweeters.

When I got the car, one side started to experience faulty wiring causing the music to be on and off. I decided to switch out the entire system for a Panasonic headunit, which I had taken out of one of my cars and was just lying around, and Panasonic two-way speakers. I chose to keep the ADS tweeters and the Sony amplifier. The upgrade proved worthwhile as the music now comes through nice and crisp.
