I recently installed a 5th Generation McCulloch High Intensity Discharge system for the low beams. The light output is rated at 5300K. OEM manufacturers usually use a 4300K setup with a projectors for cars today. 5300K is a slight blue tint when compared to the 4300K, but barely noticeable with these regular halogen projectors. The light footprint on the road is many times better than the original lighting for the M3. The system works pretty well for a completely plug-and-play HID system.
I will post some pictures of the HID system in action at night.
