First of all, thanks for visiting my page! I just bought this Bravada about 2 weeks ago (around the beginning of May 2005) and I have already started a lot of work on it. My goal is for this vehicle to be my daily driver, while still looking good enough to take to the Alaskan Car Show next summer and at least get some decent comments.

First, some generic pictures

Now, let's get on to the fun stuff - audio!

A quick overview of the entire system as it stands now:
- Panasonic CQ-C7301U Head Unit
- 4 Image Dynamics ID12 v3 Subs (250W RMS, 500W Max)
- 1 Phoenix Gold Xenon X1200.1 Amplifier (1200W x 1 @ All Ohms loads)

Enough talk - time for the pics!

The Head Unit - I've alaways had good luck w/ Panasonic and will continue to use them.

The false bottom - Unlimited Car Audio in Fairbanks, AK has so far done an excellent job and I am very proud of their work. They've run 1/0 wiring all through the vehicle for power/ground, remotes and RCAs are right at 8awg. The false bottom is large enough to house 2 of these amplifiers (which is how I wanted them to build it). The lid of the bottom has been routed out, so it fits perfectly onto the base without sliding, and makes it easy to get to the amp wiring if need be.

A close-up of my amplifier. There's very little that compares to a Phoenix Gold amplifier, especially when paired with Image Dynamics subs.
Update
This Phoenix Gold amplifier was screwed into the false bottom with some screws that were a bit to short. Since these screws are actually housed inside the amp, when they rattled out of the board the fell into the amp and shorted the amp out. I'll be sending it back to sounddomain for a replacement, which I intend to sell to a buddy. I had an Alpine MRD-M1000 sitting around my room, so I hooked it up instead and I'm liking the performance from it a lot better.

Future Plans
Well, all during the month of May I have been getting my system initially setup. Here are my plans as I have developed them so far:

June
I've changed my future plans a little bit. After hearing the ID v3's in my vehicle, I've decided I'm going to stick with them for awhile. The roof of my vehicle is already flexing 2-3 inches, and I have by far the best system in the area. So, my current focus is video/entertainment.

I bought all of this XBox gear the following weekend, and I intend to have it installed within the next month. We're going to rip out the passenger side airbag, throw in a nice fiberglass holding area, with mirrors along the inside walls and a sandblasted "XBox" logo in the back. I'll be running 3 wireless controllers as well as the DVD remote control sensor (it will be connected to an extension and mounted flush in the dashboard somewhere). We'll be installing a plexiglass window w/ magnetic brackets to keep it in place and allow it to rotate open to change the game/DVD. A green neon light will fit in there as well. On top of all this, I'm changing my overall color scheme from black/red to black/green. I have yet to decide on what video screens I will be running, so I am open to suggestion - leave them in my guestbook. To start off with I know I am going to install 2 in each forward headrest, and 1 flip-down. When all is said and done I intend to have at least 9 video screens installed.

July
During the month of July I will have my taillights shaved off and will be installing Altezza Acura Integra taillights into the rear bumper. Clear corner headlights will be dependant on time, money, and if I decide to do a front-end conversion or not. I have yet to decide on this.

I will also be selecting my component systems and installing the amp in the false bottom with my subs' amp during this month. Right now they are unnecessary as the stock Bravada system is pretty good, but not quite good enough.
