I just bought a 1993 Mazda mx6. I am not sure if I should start working on it or not.It has a dent on the rear passanger side fender and it also has rust around the fenders. If people can give me tips and stuff,I would appreciate it.

I thought about it and I dont think im going to do anything to the car.Im thinking about getting a Prelude or 2dr Accord in like 2-3 months. So im just going to use the MX6 until then and just put a sound system in it.

First do a full inspection (rust, mechanics, etc) see if its worth investing into this car. I am in the same situation as you are, I inspected the car then I changed the springs and shocks (all 4). Now I am changing the brakes (Brembo rotors and pads) and then the engine (KLZE JDM 200HP engine, Stainless Headers 21+ HP, Dual Borla muffler with twin outputs 15+ HP and ECU 35+ HP, XX Large MFIC). After all this I would change the body (I am working on a custom front where I am implementing a front grill that will look like the concept car from Audi seen in iRobot movie, for the sides and rear I am going to use the shogun kit and add wide body fenders on the wheels, check mx6.com) the I'll do a full repaint and rust proofing. The rims will also come in last (18" rims is what I am going to get). Now all this I am planing for this summer (if I don't go bankruped). In winter I am going to change the interior (CarPc with dual LCDs, full custom Leather seat wrapping, red and white painting, amp, speakers + sub, extra gauges, etc). So in total around 15K (thats canadian) investment if not more :) Good luck! T_Tronix

Carbon fiber hood, all red tails from the M-Edition, J-spec headlights, and wheels from the MX-6 M-Edition, dropped with Probe GT susmension, which will run you $65 a corner for springs and struts at a good junkyard. It'll drop the car about an inch or so and give your firmer handling without an unbearable ride. That should get you started.

No, dont get shogun it sucks bottom line. and no halos get j-spec. Anakin630 is a wigger. I recommend buddy club or Blitz. My fav. is blitz from illicit-racing.com take a look at it. Ive researched all this. and either the stock spoiler or an aluminum one.No exotics everybody does that. _rex_

the best tip would be to make shur, the car it self is in good shape and it is what you want.. Then do a body job on it and pick a colour u like and then when u get money down the road get a kit you want and paint it to match then get some rims.. but it is all what u want to doo to it. Good luck
