The intention of this install is to make a decent sounding stereo with minimal modification to the car.

Here you see the Alpine CDA-D855 and the ERE-G180. The EQ is in that spot for now, soon it will be moved to a higher spot. There is a pocket above the A/C controls which is not shown here. This is where the EQ will call home soon.
And here are my new amps, well they aren't brand-spanking new, but in cherry condition and these older Orion amps are incredible for reliability. (Well duh, they are Orion) These two amps replaced my Cobalt 265. The 222 powers my mids&highs, with the XTR 275 powering the subwoofers.
Here is a pic of the new subs, just arrived today and will be put in tonight!! YIPEE!!
Another pic from the underside of the subs.
This is a picture of my Cobalt 5.25's they are bi-ampable and sound really good in the factory location. However, they are going to be moving to kickpanels soon. (Oh goodie- my first shot at fiberglass...don't worry there will be documentation :) )
This is a picture of the Cobalt 5.25's in the door. (I know, self explanatory, but nonetheless, they look decent in there don't they?)
Close up of the concept for the amp's mounting in the spare tire well. The amps are now in, with the decorative work coming soon. The Orion logo you see there will be covered in white tweed. We're redoing the trunk lining and amp rack (thank god for large spare tire wells) with new carpeting. The eventual plan is to illuminate the amps and rack with blue and purple neon lighting.
Here are the new subs, AudioBahn AWC10's. For the price these are some great subs.
New box, custom built to fit the car. The new subs are in as you can see from the new pics above.
