Be sure to rate my truck, and drop me a line!
2008 Car Show, Cruise, and Swap Meet roster has begun!!!!!
Well, as of January 19, the 2008 Missouri Car Show Season has officially begun. In Columbia, MO the "It's A Gas" swap meet was held at the Boone Co. fairgrounds. I was unable to attend the meet, but I sure bet it was a great time. Be sure to check out the 2008 Car Show, Cruises, and Swap Meet Schedule for updated information for the 2008 Missouri Car Show Season. This page will be updated as new Shows, Cruises, and Swap Meets are located, so be sure to check back periodically.
Thanks for checking out my '72 Chevrolet C/10 truck page. This truck has a long road ahead of it, but I plan to keep everyone posted on the progress, so be sure to check back from time to time to see if there have been any updates. I like most of you have been bit by the Car Crazy bug, and can't get enough. Post a message about what you think of the site, and my truck of course, and I'll be sure to return the favor.
Thanks to everyone that has rated my truck. I appreciate any comments, feedback, or suggestions about the future of the truck. I'm going to try and update this site more often from now on, so be sure to check back in the future. Again, please rate my truck, and feel free to sign my guestbook. I would appreciate any feedback or suggestions. Thanks!
I purchased this truck on March 19, 2005 with help from some very close family members. When I purchased the truck, it had only had 3 owners. Originally it was a US Forest Service truck, but then over the years, it wound up being sold to the second owner whose father owned a junk yard where he restored the truck. The third owner, Paul, purchased the truck after it was restored and owned the truck for the last 11 years. When the second owner restored the truck he replaced the stock SB350 and installed the SB400. The SB400 came out of a 1975 Monte Carlo, and has an Edelbrock intake, and V-Force mufflers, however, hopefully in the future I'm planning on installing twin Super 40 Series Flowmaster mufflers with 2.5" stainless steel pipes. The truck has factory air conditioning, power steering, and power brakes. Since Paul owned it, the cab corners, cab floors, and the inner fender wells have become a little rusted. The bed is completely shot due to rust, but eventually I am planning on installing all new bed parts. As far the bed floor, currently it is filled with metal and rust, but I’m contemplating replacing the tired out bed floor with a new wood floor.
More pictures will be added, especially once the frame-off restoration begins.
I also need to pass on 67-72 Chevy Trucks.com website. It is loaded with tons of helpful information, parts, friends, and so much more! They have been very responsive and helpful with any questions that I have ever asked. You'll meet a lot of people, and will find more about this model of truck than you ever imagined. They also service the 60-66 Chevy/GMC and the 73-87 Chevy/GMC truck crowd, along with providing information on trucks, Blazers/Jimmy’s, and Suburbans. Thanks guys at 67-72 Chevy Trucks.com!
