This page is for showing how to add the 98+ 3.0 upper intake manifold to the 86 up 3.0. This is my old manifold I had with my N/A setup. Here is a picture from under. It shows how I have the return spring connected. I made a little triangular piece and rivited it to the exhisting 5.0 bracket.
To figure where to drill holes to mount the TB to the 98+ mani, put the gasket on the back of the TB and center the hole with the TB bore. Then mark where to drill the holes on the corners. You'll probably have to use an x-acto knife to enlarge the hole in the stock gasket. This gasket is for my 1.9 Escort, it's a 40mm TB so the big hole in the middle may look small. This is a 60mm TB from a Mustang. Its a little dirty but you can see how the throttle cable linkage could be a problem when you look at the stock TB. The IAC and TPS will remain in the stock locations.

Thats a beast. I think you can get MUCH higher numbers with a 4.0 MAF and a tune. Ill be waiting to see what they are.
