This car was purchased new by my great-grandfather in 1957. He and my great-grandmother used it as a daily driver until 1973. They sold it to my father for $500.00 that same year. He refinished the chrome and stainless and stripped the car's old paint and the car was painted in the mid 80s. My dad kept working on the car untill 1985 when he became terminally ill. He passed on in 1987 and the car sat in storage untill 2001. My intention at that point was to get the car up and running so it would'nt just sit in storage forever. Now, 4 yrs later, shes come a long way!

Heres the car after 16 years of daily use. The paint is shot and its in dire need of a complete resto. The car was never wrecked, though, and people still comment on how straight the body is. The date on the back of this photo is April, 1973
Shortly after my dad got the car he had a quick-cheap paint-job done to freshen it up. We began stripping the trim in the early 80s for the paint thats still on the car today

This was the result of many gallons of heavy-duty paint stripper and tons of work. We delivered the car to the paint shop in this condition.
Sanded down and primered, and outside the shop after being trimmed-out
Heres the car fresh from the paint-booth ready for reassembly.
