Hey all people who are reading this... not too much on my car, my dad bought it about two years ago about mid 03' for $1500, since then me and my father have worked out a bit of rust from the front end... resprayed the car, and gotten some minor engine mods done... to this day the car has only gotten better and better... Any comments would be great, so long as their good, any questions and ill try to reply as soon as i can.. cheers...

Mazda As It Is Today...(my first car)

When we first bought it, before the respray...

When i first got the car the old original stereo and speakers were still in good condition.. the old tape deck was taken out due to it being stuffed and a cd deck was placed in just a cheapy akai deck was needed, the stock speakers did a decent job till they started to crack so they were replaced with a set of 4 1/2" fusion slits up front and a set of fusion 6 1/5" speakers were placed in the rear....
Note: the woodgrain was placed just to fill the area of emptyness where the old stereo was placed...

after a short while the akai deck started to play up so it was replaced with a decent JVC MP3 unit... still blares to the day...

The interior after the new head unit and steering wheel were installed..

The respray involved about two weekends a small gathering of relo's and about $150, not too bad my dad says but i think its great.. the colour is Honda Permament Violet... after rubbing back some of the old paint the new colour was applied by my father and my grandfather...

During the respray much sweat a little blood and much swearing and cursing was involved... also if some people with a simular mazda are out their wondering what happened to the chrome strips around the car, they were simply painted over and they turned out ok... they just look like a lighter strip of purple now... better than just removing them i think...
Some may notice the dint in the rear bumper, lol, just so then you know i didnt hit anything, in about two months i had two people slam into the rear end of the mazda while out and about on the road... i didnt care so we painted over them...

The mazda as of today now has, a new kinda upgraded stereo(as described above) a 2 1/4" full exaust system with fibreglass performance exuast (gives the car a good barely legal note) and a set of 4-2-1 hurricane extractors which are connected to the exuast and the 2L engine(carby), it all features a stock 5-speed manual and fully independent suspension(luxery back in the day) when we first got the car back from getting the exaust work done, the original exuast was so full of rust and general grime that you could tap it with a screwdriver and it was put holes in it, also the carby was rebuilt and a new replacement engine was placed due to the old one died.. during the new enigne was being installed the radiator got stolen so a new or somewhat new one was placed...

Thanks for viewing my page and any info or questions would be great... cheers...
ps.. hopefully sometime in the future i plan on tinting the windows as dark as i legally can, and lowering it a slight bit roughly 2" at the front and rear...also a mate of mine has gotten me a set of green neons, so i may put them in if so ill take some pics at night for you all to look at, cheers again...
