Updates At Bottom

This is the page containing all the videos I have done with the car. This contains everything I have edited together from old to new, to show progress of things that have been done.

I used to have these videos direct linked to my web server, and in WMV format. I did that because I wanted to keep the quality of the videos fairly good, and at the time did not think much of Flash Video. I did manage to keep the files kind of small for their quality, and I really heard of no major problems from people. One thing I forgot was that the videos required the Windows Media 9 codec, and if it wasn't installed or the latest version of Windows Media Player installed, the files would not play back correctly.

I went ahead and uploaded the videos to PhotoBucket, as I realized the quality isn't dropped that much when converted to Flash Video. I will link to the WMV files later. Also, in order to reduce page load time, I have linked to these videos, instead of embedding them onto this page. Just click the link, and you'll be taken to the video.

(To make it easier to switch back and forth, if you're using IE7 or FireFox, just right-click on the link and open it in a new tab.)

Intake - Exhaust -- Different angle videos are the original intake and dual exhaust setup.

LED Turn Signals -- Short video of the front and rear turn signal LED's in action.

Acceleration Test -- First acceleration video.

Exhaust Acceleration Tests -- Various exhaust tones at different levels of acceleration.

Accelerations -- More acceleration videos taken, the first with the car about 500 pounds overweight, and the other 2 just entering highways with a lot of stuff in the back.

Lake Runs -- The set of videos were taken in a parking lot at Salt Fork Lake.

Back Road Runs -- This video was taken on the same back road that the Exhaust Acceleration Tests video was taken. The interstate can be seen in this video.

Access Road Runs -- This next set was taken on an old access road by some old factory storage buildings, only a few blocks from my house. One thing to note, on the first run (which was my best run, which was cuz I started out in 2nd gear selection instead of Overdrive selection), the video got cut short cuz the camera was on the wrong setting.

Around Town -- This set of videos were shot around town. The volume on the last video had to be adjusted because of the wind going past the mic.

New Exhaust Tone -- These are clips of the new exhaust sound (Camaro tips), inside and outside.

New Accelerations -- Accelerations with the new exhaust tone (Camaro tips).

Take-Offs -- A set of failed wheel spin attempts (which is kind of hard to do with th 2.84 gears and tires that have amazing traction).

Exhaust Comparison -- This is a video comparing the the sound of the previous exhaust setup with the current setup (Camaro tips).

These are all the videos I have done so far. I have many more videos, but I have not gotten around to sorting through them and editing them together, but I will post more as soon as I can.

Here are couple new videos. No new mods for these or anything, just some stuff I took awhile ago that I just now got to editing.

Exhaust Rumble -- This is a video the exhaust idling at cold and warm (those cicadas are really loud in that second video).

Rainy Day Fun -- Just a compilation of videos taken on a day that it rained.

Uphill Driving -- A video of me driving up a really long hill. Too much wind noise though, I should have closed the windows.

Wheel Spins -- It was very cold, and I had an idea. I was actually surprised this old car could do it, and more than once!

-- NEW VIDEOS BELOW --

Air Horn Tests -- I have finally put together a video demonstrating the airhorns I have installed.  They don't sound all that loud in the videos, but trust me, they'll leave a nasty ring in your ears if you're too close when they go off (it's a great way to scare off deer).

Moving Fast -- Here are a couple of clips I took sometime back of me getting up to some high speeds on a country road.  The first one I got to around 75 mph, and on the second one I got just a little over 90 mph (I almost never take this car to those speeds).

It's cool man. I think im scrapping that idea anyway, cuz now I've got more important projects to deal with, and I need to start saving up for college. I am probably getting a 3800 series III L67 in the fall for college. It'll be all bored out and suped up to drop in when I graduate. Don't get excited though cuz that won't be for at least 5 years or so. lol

Hey man! Just stoppin by with another question for you. I remember reading about your attempts at trying to swap your custom guage cluster with a limited cluster. Do you know why it didnt work? I want to swap in a digital cluster. I saw one that fits perfectly but I dont want to spend $800 for it not to work lol Thanks!
