Here is where information about all my exterior lighting can be found.

Long ago, I did have some aftermarket fog lights added to the car. Never thought much about them – they weren't expensive, and I didn't use them much. Of course, after I wrecked (page 11), I no longer had them.

Anyway, I don't remember what order I installed the lights, so I'm just going to start with the headlights and go down. First off, I have a set of Sylvania SilverStar 9005 bulbs for my high beams, but after my turn signal switch replacement (page 12), I lost a part used to activate the high beams, so I do not have pictures, and it has been a long time since I have been able to use high beams on this car.

Next, to make it seem a bit cooler (and brighter), I decided to get HID bulbs for my low beams (I know they are not supposed to be used on halogen housings, but I don't worry about it). They are Cool Blue 9006 HID bulbs. I got the bulbs and kit for around $315. No, they are not some big fancy named, imported kit, they were cheap, and I took my chances, but to this day, they still haven't failed me.

Here are a couple of shots with the low beams on at night (I have never been able to get the blue to show up), and one during the day (the blue shows better in that one):

Before I lost my old amber fog lights, I wanted a little brighter fog lights, so, I added a set of PIAA Bright White 2100XT fog lights. They were next to the amber lights, but after the wreck, I moved them to where they are now. The pic on the left is of the lights at night (this is an old picture, where they were mounted in their original location), and the one on the right is a day shot (new picture – where they now sit):

I also have a set of PIAA 2100XT driving lights, but I have not found a good mounting position yet (if I put them next to the fogs, the license plate gets in the way). At some point I will have them on.

Here are a bunch of pictures with the headlights and fog lights on together (these images show more of the 'blueness' at night):

Now, I eventually got to a point where I got tired of having to change all my exterior light bulbs, because they kept wearing out, so I decided to replace the bulbs with LEDs. First I had to replace the thermal flasher with a heavy duty flasher to actually get the LED's to flash (the LED's have such a low voltage, the thermal flasher kept thinking the bulbs were burnt out). So, the taillights, turn signals, and bumper lights are all red LED's now. Here are a few day shots and a night shot:

So far, my license plate lights and rear backup lights are not LED's yet, and for some reason, I can not get the high mount stop light to work with LED's. I've kinda given up on that one, but if anyone has got it to work, let me know.

Not long after the rear lights were changed over to LED's, I did the fronts. Now, this was fun: although the rear turn signal LED's worked without a problem, the fronts weren't that easy. They just wouldn't flash. Luckily, when I ordered my rear LED's, I also ordered load resistors, because I thought I might need them (didn't for the rears), so once I figured out the wiring for the front turn signals, I spliced them in-line, and the turn signals finally worked. They aren't as bright during the day, but they make a huge difference at night:

The newest lighting addition I have made is adding these blue LED 'Multi Marker' lights (bought them with my driving lights – they were on sale), mounted behind the grill. I think they are supposed to be some kind of turn signal light, but I like them better behind the grill:

I still need to better hide those wires. Here is the switch for the lights – this actually replaces my old green rocker switch that was originally used for the amber fog lights (page 13) – also, it still needs properly mounted, been too lazy to do it though:

Now, here are a bunch of shots showing the lights in action:

I haven't used these much, as I pretty much keep forgetting I have them.

Also, one final full day shot:

It's cool man. I think im scrapping that idea anyway, cuz now I've got more important projects to deal with, and I need to start saving up for college. I am probably getting a 3800 series III L67 in the fall for college. It'll be all bored out and suped up to drop in when I graduate. Don't get excited though cuz that won't be for at least 5 years or so. lol

Hey man! Just stoppin by with another question for you. I remember reading about your attempts at trying to swap your custom guage cluster with a limited cluster. Do you know why it didnt work? I want to swap in a digital cluster. I saw one that fits perfectly but I dont want to spend $800 for it not to work lol Thanks!
