1981 Toyota Corona (TT 132)

Hello! My name is Piti from Bangkok, Thailand. Here is my 1981 Toyota Corona.

Tong139's 1981 Toyota Corona Tong139's 1981 Toyota Corona

The engine is still original 3T 1770cc. (I will post the engine picture very soon) So far, the counter clocked only some 70,000 km.

My parents bought this corona brand new back then. They didn't drive so much as our home is only few kilometers away their office. My parents gave me this corona in 1992. I drove it for 4 years until I graduated from university. After then, this car has been parked for at least 8 years.

After I wake it up last year, the corona need a big maintenance. It quit difficult for me to describe the big list because my English is not quite good. For summary, the works done included repaired front suspension, new shocks, new ignition wires, tuned up carburator, new brake hoses, new brake pads, repaired starter and etc.

The interior is needed the recondition too..... I plan to work on it after all mechanical stuff has been done.

Beautiful Corona. That's the transition model from the RT132 (18R engine) generation to the TT141 (3T engine): the TT132.It does have almost all the mechanics from the TT141 (steering, gearbox, engine, electrical system, interiors, console, seats, dashborad, etc) which was the upcoming model, but with the body of the RT132. There are very few versions of that Corona in PerĂº (but you can find a lot of RT132-18R and TT141-3T).Good job! Keep that car in good shape and you'll never regret it; they last forever!!
