As of recently this car has been sold! It has been a great pleasure to own, drive and build. Unfortunatly I grew tired of her. I can only hope the new owner "Jared" will get as much pleasure out of her as I did. Congrats Jared, and enjoy!!
My New car Is a Lincoln LS. I will post pictures of her when I get some.
This was my "99" Mitsubishi Eclipse. Its the Special 10th Anniversary edition with the OZ package. As you will see I did a lot of motor work, performance wise. It had a bunch of miles but they were mostly highway.Or at least it did, until the timing belt broke.Thats when I totaly rebuilt it.It took two months but when it was done,It was well worth it. enjoy the pictures,And the tunes...And please dont forget to rate my ride!!!
06/15/06 The Timing belt broke at 148,000 miles. My mechanic took my head and block to the machine shop for resurface and to bore the block .20 over. I just about restored it to new.I already replaced cv axles,New wheel bearing hub assemblys,Head gasket, valve cover gasket,Water pump, belt tensioner, timing belt, clutch,Clutch master cylinder, oil pump, and pistons.I put in all new valves, springs, clips, and gaskets.I went with stock oversized pistons and rods cause I shaved the head.I also took this opportunity to hone my intake manifold as well as put some headers on it.It ended up running right around 5 grand, But she was like new.Ive got a few picks Below.....(UPDATE)..Blew my trany 2 months after the rebuild,So add another 1,500 bucks and a rebuilt transmission to the list!!!
I drove this car about 75 miles a day rountrip, to work and back,And it was always a blast to drive..Especially when I was buzzing or should I say flying up and down the highway.
I kept it extra clean as you can see.Inside and out.
This is the block and pistons.Once again,Its very obvious the head gasket was leaking badly, also the valves beat the crap out of the top of the pistons when the timing belt broke.I got the block bored .20 over for the new pistons and had the crank turned..
Here is the intake manifold before I sent it out for some honeing work!!I got the head shaved,Ported and polished.I also replaced all the valves, springs and clips...
New Light weight underdrive pulley...
Here is a shot of the new S/S OBX header. It also had the down pipe..
What do ya think about the new valve cover? A few hours work and a little elbow grease goes a long way!!
(..08/05/06.MOTORS DONE!!)
Here's the real deal.Just before the install!Extruded, honed, bored, and shaved.Oh Yea Baby!!There's no paint on that head either,It's been finely bead blasted
Here is a shot of the motor before the timing cover was installed.Notice the new water pump, oil pump etc.
Here we go.8/16/06...The day I got my car back. The workmanship is awesome.Service was awesome.Everything awesome.Totaly pleased with everything.Total Price Incl. tx.$4900!!!!That included alot of work on the drivetrain...Any way heres a few shots of her home in the garage..I'll let the pictures speak for themselves

Here she is with the new braided hoses and Injen fuse cover

Here are a couple of my most recent engine photos.
I planned on making a few more mods, other than making her like new again.
The anniversary package comes with 16"OZ formula-1 wheels, white faced guages, turbo spoiler, power sun roof, leather interior, and other upgrades, along with all the other options, except turbo.
A shot of one of my pet poison dart frogs..Arty.This shot is super imposed..He wouldn't stay still..he's a dendrobate auratus..
I also installed a cold air intake, light weight under drive pulley,Pilot gear shift knob,Magnaflow exaust,OBX header w/ downpipe, as well as front and rear strut bars.
For tires I went with Bridgestone Fuzion ZRI's.Good choice with a decent price.Awesome performance for the buck. They are wearing fast though. Here they are mounted on the 16" OZ F-1's.Notice the Anniv. decal in this pic.I was planning on keeping the exterior stock.I think it looks damn good as it is.I was more into performance than anything.Plus I dont want to mess up an Anniversary edition.Another shot of Arty..He goes great with my car huh!!
Hear is a shot of the exaust exiting the car.Magnaflow with a Silverline polished S/S tip.
I was ready to drop some big bucks on new OEM headlights so I thought I'd try one of those $20 headlight lens restoration kits. This picture doesn't do em justice..

This is my awesome family. My wife is the best and so are my kids. They sacrificed an entire summer vacation for the benefit of my car, with NO complaints. We did get some time in at the beach though.Thats why we live in Florida..
