rear panels and gas tank hump have been carpeted to match.
din deck and deck/eq flush install kit included...steel chassis(very solid)
10 gauge wire ran from battery to two switches flush mounted in center counsol
whole car has been completely sound deadened, not one place has less than three layers....doors have 8, firewall has 6....this made a huge difference!!!
interior panels have been stuffed with fiberglass insulation(no rattles at all!!
4x6s have sound deadened baffles and small enclosures behind them
The box is made of two layers of 3/4" fibercore Oak, sealed throughout with two tubes of liquid nails, and held together with over 250 screws. The inside of the box is braced vertically and diagonally and the entire inside of the box has been sprayed with an entire can of Stinger Noise Killer. Then I used a 1/2" Bolt and bolted the box to the bottom of the car. The box is absolutly dead and there is no resonance at all. The sound quality I gained from switching from my old box to this new one is unbeleivable. One of the cleanest 12" subs I have ever heard sealed. It will get loud enough that most people think I have two before they see it.
Here's what it looked like in the car before the top baffle was screwed in. Kinda messy, but that's the way it goes. You can see one of the vertical braces in this pic, and the panels before i carpeted them.
Here's a side shot of the system to show off how well everything fit. I did alot of sanding and filing to make sure all the angles sat flush against eachother.
Here's an overhead shot of the RF Power 12" sub. I inverted the sub to show off the chrome magnet on this bad boy. This is a really classy looking sub. I used RF Whitewolf 11 gauge speaker wire for the sub. I was impressed by the strand count in that wire.
Here's a shot of the amps. The amp rack sits flush against the angle of the gastank. Everything was a very tight fit.
Here's an overhead shot of the amp rack. Thats an MTX 2160 and a 4160. You can sortof see the MTX logo the amp rack was made into.
Here's a shot of the whole system. It's hard to see but I re-carpeted all the side panels in the trunk and the carpet over the gas tank hump to match the system carpeting. I also mounted an Alpine credit card style remote next to the light against the back panel for when I'm playing with the xover settings or setting the gains.
This is my car posing for pics in my buddy's sod feild.
Here's a shot with everything open, this pic shows a little more attention to detail, you can see the 92 Z28 front air dam that I installed to replace the ugly stock RS air dam, and so I could make a custom Ram Air intake system.
Here's another shot of the car, I really like this picture, it's dark from when I scanned it, but it still looks really good.
