I added a 750 watt inverter that can be turned on/off whenever you want, without the key being in the ignition, unlike the stock outlet in the bed. I bought an inverter at Sears and then took the inverter apart and extended all the wires to the plugs, LEDs, and switch. I mounted the green LED to show when the power is on, and the red LED shows when the inverter is overloaded. I mounted the inverter under the driver side seat. I installed an outlet up front and one in the back for the rear passengers. I also installed a 12 volt cigarette outlet that is connected to constant power, unlike the stock outlets. Everything works perfectly and looks pretty good if I do say so myself.
My wife does a lot of reading while I'm driving, and I hate driving with the map lights and dome lights On at night. So I installed some BNC plugs to power a reading light, which is actually a light that is made for studio soundboards.
