Here's my latest aquisition, a vintage Olds 350. What did I get myself into? Let's find out......

Views of the outside before I tear into it.

Valve covers and intake are off. let's see what's hiding out of view shall we?

Hmmm.....nothing really unusual yet....

Let's look a little deeper and take the heads off.

We'll start with the right bank and see what's there....

What's this?? Corrosion in #2? Not good at all......someone was not telling me all there was to know about said engine it seems...

Now let's look at the left bank.

Well, it's not as bad, but it certainly hasn't had any machine work done to it. All of the cylinders are worn, not excessively, but worn none the less. Dammit......looks like a trip to the machine shop is in order......will post results as it goes back together.
