Bodywork

Sorry it has been a while, and I'm afraid this won't be much of a fun update. The problem is I got a job..a real one..where I have to work everyday. So I hardly had time to work on my car anymore...then I really bit the dirt and bought a house...so now I don't have any money.

anyways, one weekend I tried to dig in and at least get my fenders off. You can see my pile of body parts above. I always marvel at how nice they look in pictures, they aren't that nice!

I figured with the fenders off I at least had a chance to weld on a patch panel...well let me be the first to say..trying to cut metal to match perfectly sucks!! You can see in the above pic that the fitment is horrible!

this is as far as I've gotten. Now I have to move all these peices to my new house with the car on a trailer. I haven't even done that yet. My advice to anyone who really wants to get a car done is to not get a job, don't get a house, and for god-sake..DON'T GET MARRIED! (at least I haven't fallen for that one yet!)

Trust me when I have something worth posting I will!

Update October 2008, I was able to reassemble the car enough to drive it to my new house.  then I took it back apart.  I was about to dig in, when the engine in my truck blew...I had it towed and dropped off in front of my garage, so now I cannot get my car out, and the truck engine swap takes priority over the Ventura for now.
