This is my 1968 Dodge Charger that is currently nearing completion. I'm having a 440 put into her with a little over 400 horsepower and the engine should be ready to drop into place sometime later this week and as soon as I have pictures I'll post them. The car is being completely rebuilt from top to bottom. New interior, brakes, and glass and I'm throwing in a Turbo Action racing shifter.
This is what she looked like the first time I saw her, no rust and and still a lot of original paint on her. It even had the inspector's ink signature behind the grill still visible.

Some pictures of her freshly painted. It was a pain in the ass to get the black paint as nice as it is but in my opinion it was worth it.

These are the rims that I've decided to put on her. I was originally going to go with the centerline rims and make it into a Blade look a like car but I think these look a lot more classy.

The charger is almost complete. Just need to put the rims on it and the front bumper and she'll be ready to drive.

I think the interior turned out really well. Everything inside was completely redone.

I was originally going to go with the engine being painted orange but I found out that the turquoise would have been the stock color so I ended up going with that.
Once she's on the road I'll post some more pictures.

It's finally done!
I'm really happy I went with the TTII rims, they just fit perfectly with the image of the car.

I'll have some pictures of it on the road as soon as I can.

Finally got moved into my house at UCSB and had some free time this afternoon so I drove my roommates around for a bit since they've been begging since they saw the car =P.

I love living at the beach, just seems like the perfect setting for the car. That's Goleta Pier in the background which is like 5 minutes away from my house.

If the other cars hadn't been in the picture I think it would have been perfect, pretty cool pic none the less.
My viewpoint from the driver seat, go ahead, dream on...=P
All in all she's been running fine, I've been slowly breaking in the engine, I'm only about 600 miles into it now =/. So I can't have any real fun and put the pedal to the metal. I've toyed with her a little bit and she sure has a lot of go (She better with 430 horses!). It sucks on the freeway though, I have to cruise at around 55 to keep the RPMs down. 440 engine and I get passed by semi trucks on the freeway =(.
All in all, I think the real truth about be owning this car is this.

Once I finish breaking her in I'll post some burnout pics and other stuff.

I had to take her back home to have my dad fix up some minor things that I couldn't do here at school. Guess I'm walking for a bit until they're finished. Nothing major, just tired of no interior lights at night and not having a working gas gauge/speedo/tach.
