This is my 1988 Pontiac Firebird. This is a Formula clone. Originally it had a 2.8 V6 with manual tranny, That has now been replaced with a 5.7 350 V8 4bbl. Along with the 700R4 auto tranny, and swaped out the rear end with a new 373. I have worked on it for a little over a year now and it finally looks, sounds, and drives like it was new. I am happy just hearing that chirp into 2nd with an auto! Here are some pics of all the work that was done by me. Thanks to Jeff and Dave for some tools. Also to my father, Brad, who helped me paint it. Especially to him, solid 65 1/2 hours of work with only 2-3 hours a night sleep over 3 days! Check it out.
The bastard lady driver hit me ... i know you have all seen her! well that just means time for more modification.
The ram air idea was always a dream of mine but never a reality, now with the accident i might as well do it. Here is one day of work so far.
I now have different rims. These are off of a Trans Am. They make the car ride so much better and it's a better stance. nice background too
I can finally give you some engine pics. I will have new valve covers soon. The carburator is an Edelbrock 1406. Not the biggest 4bbl but made a hell of a difference. Was a bear to put on and figure out the transmission linkage.
