This is the new project. This box is for a 2005 F150 regular cab. It will hold two Type E 12's, Rockford 301M, Rockford 4004 and cap. Some LEDs will be added for color.

The cardboard pieces are templates to match the amplifiers sizes.

I couldn't find my straight router bit so I went old school. I found the center of the panel and marked it with a screw. Then I took a piece of wire and a ring terminal. The wire was crimped into the ring and screwed to the box. Then all I needed to do was find the speaker hole dimensions and cut them in half. I marked the wire and poked a hole through it with a pick. Then you slide the pencil through the hole and trace the circle.

Boom, perfect circle.

The center oval was made using an old trick. Again I found the center of the panel. Then I put two screw on that line. They have to be exactly the same distance from the edge of the board.

I took a piece of wire and made a circle. Then the circle was laid around the two screws.

As you trace the oval is made.

It took two tries to find the perfect oval.

With a slow hand and a vacuum, a jigsaw works great.

Almost there....

Started to carpet today but I ran out of spray glue.

Ran to Wally world and picked up the 3M Super 77.

Extreme close up.

I put in the amps, cap and distribution blocks.

The next step was the Oval window. A jigsaw was used to cut the 5/8 particle board. Then hand sanded with a rounded corner.

Next I cut some more wood to raise the M.

Trunk liner was used to cover the window.
